Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Effective: August 20, 2026
1. Who we are
TurnUp Live is operated by Temple Nova I Inc. (d/b/a TurnUp Live) (“TurnUp Live,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Wyoming corporation with its principal place of business at 303 Perimeter Center N, Atlanta, GA 30346.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the TurnUp Live mobile application, our website at turnuplive.com, and any related services (together, the “Services”), how we use it, and who we share it with.
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Who this policy covers
We use these terms throughout:
- Attendee: an individual who uses the Services to discover events, RSVP, purchase tickets, or attend an event.
- Organizer: a venue, promoter, or event host who uses the Services to list events, sell tickets, or manage guest entry.
- Promoter: an individual who shares an Organizer's event through a tracked link and may earn a commission on resulting attendance.
- Visitor: anyone who browses our website or app without creating an account.
Where this policy treats Attendees and Organizers differently, we say so.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you give us directly
All users: name, mobile phone number, email address, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in readable form), and a profile photo if you choose to add one.
Attendees: the events you RSVP to or buy tickets for; your ticket and entry status; any information an Organizer's registration form asks you to provide for a specific event; your communication preferences, including whether you have consented to receive promotional text messages; and any messages you send us through support.
Organizers: business or trading name; the legal entity behind it; the name and contact details of an authorized representative; business address; tax identification number; any licence or permit numbers required to host events at your venue; payout bank account details, collected and held by our payment processor; and your event listings, ticket inventory, pricing, and sales history.
Payment information: card numbers and payment credentials are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full card number. We retain a transaction record, the last four digits, and the card brand.
3.2 Information we collect automatically
- device model and operating system version, a device identifier, and app version
- IP address, and approximate location derived from it
- precise location only if you grant location permission, and only to show you nearby events
- pages and screens you view, and events you view, save, or follow
- search queries within the Services
- the tracked link or referral source that brought you to an event
- timestamps of your activity, and crash and diagnostic logs
You can turn off precise location at any time in your device settings. The Services will continue to work; event recommendations simply become less local.
3.3 Information from third parties
If you sign in using a third-party account such as Google or Apple, we receive the basic profile information that service shares with us under your privacy settings there, typically your name, email address, and profile image. We do not receive your password for that service.
We use a phone verification and validation service to confirm that a number you provide is a real, active mobile number and to block automated or fraudulent signups. That service returns to us the line type and validity status of the number.
Our payment processor returns transaction confirmations and payment status.
3.4 What we do not collect
We do not collect government identification documents, Social Security numbers, biometric identifiers, precise health information, or information about your race, ethnicity, religion, political affiliation, or sexual orientation. We do not scan your device contacts, photo library, or message history.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- create and secure your account, and verify that you are a real person
- process RSVPs, ticket purchases, refunds, transfers, and entry at the door
- send you transactional messages about events you have signed up for, including confirmations, entry passes, venue or time changes, and cancellations
- send you promotional messages about upcoming events, only where you have separately opted in (see section 7)
- show you events we think are relevant, based on events you have viewed, saved, or attended and, if you have enabled it, your approximate location
- attribute attendance to the Promoter or tracked link that referred you, so commissions can be calculated
- detect and prevent fraud, ticket scalping, duplicate entry, bot signups, and abuse of the Services
- provide customer support and respond to your requests
- understand how the Services are used, in aggregate, so we can improve them
- comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, and lawful requests from authorities
We do not use your information to build advertising audiences on third-party platforms. We do not upload your contact details to social media platforms for ad targeting or to generate lookalike audiences.
5. How we share your information
5.1 With Organizers
When you RSVP to or buy a ticket for an event, the Organizer of that event receives:
- your first name and last initial
- your ticket type and order reference
- your check-in status and check-in time
- any responses you gave to that Organizer's own registration questions
The Organizer receives your full name, email address, or phone number only if you have separately consented to be contacted by that Organizer. That consent is presented to you as a distinct, unchecked choice, and you can withdraw it at any time in your settings.
Organizers are contractually prohibited from exporting, selling, renting, transferring, or using attendee information for any purpose other than operating the specific event you signed up for and, where you consented, contacting you about their own events. Organizers are independently responsible for their own compliance with applicable law, including laws governing marketing communications. Those obligations are set out in section 8 of our Terms of Service.
5.2 With Promoters
Promoters receive counts and commission totals attributable to their tracked links. Promoters do not receive attendee names, phone numbers, or email addresses.
5.3 With service providers
We share personal information with vendors who perform functions on our behalf and are contractually restricted to using it only for those functions. These currently include:
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud: authentication, database, cloud storage, analytics, and hosting
- Stripe, Inc.: payment processing for ticket purchases and organizer payouts
- Twilio Inc. and Brevo: text message delivery
- Email delivery, phone number verification, customer support tooling, and crash reporting providers
A current list is available on request at support@turnuplive.com.
5.4 For legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or lawful government request; to enforce our Terms of Service; to detect or prevent fraud or security incidents; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TurnUp Live, our users, or the public, including in response to a credible threat of harm at an event.
5.5 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to honour the commitments in this policy, and we will notify you through the Services before your information becomes subject to a materially different policy.
5.6 We do not sell your personal information
We have not sold personal information in the preceding twelve months, and we do not share it with third parties for their own cross-context behavioural advertising.
6. Public and social features
Some information you provide is visible to others by design:
- your display name and profile photo may be visible to other users
- if an Organizer has made an event's guest list public, and you have not turned off guest-list visibility, your display name and photo may appear on it
You control both of these in your privacy settings. Guest-list visibility is off by default for private events.
7. Mobile information and text messages
We send two distinct kinds of text message, and you control them separately.
Transactional messages relate to an event you have signed up for: your entry pass, a change of venue or time, a cancellation, or door instructions. You receive these because you registered for that event and ticked the order-messages box.
Promotional messages promote upcoming events, ticket drops, and offers. You receive these only if you affirmatively opted in by ticking an unchecked promotional text box. Promotional consent is never required to attend an event, purchase a ticket, or use the Services.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. You may also opt out by emailing support@turnuplive.com or calling 888-225-6596. We honor opt-out requests made through any reasonable method, not only by replying STOP.
No mobile information, including your phone number and your text messaging opt-in or consent status, will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared only with subcontractors and service providers that support the operation of our messaging service, such as our SMS delivery provider, and only for that purpose. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party.
The mobile messaging terms in our Terms of Service describe both programs, the opt-in wording, message frequency, costs, and how to stop.
8. Your choices and rights
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Access and correct your account information in the app
- Opt out of promotional texts and emails at any time, without affecting transactional messages about events you have signed up for
- Control visibility of your profile and guest-list appearance in privacy settings
- Disable location access in your device settings
- Delete your account in the app, or by emailing support@turnuplive.com. We will delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where we must retain records for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes (see section 9)
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we hold, to request deletion, to correct inaccuracies, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling with legal effects. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
To exercise any right, email support@turnuplive.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will verify your identity through your registered account before acting. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response. We will respond to an appeal within 45 days.
9. How long we keep information
- Account information: while your account is active, then 30 days after deletion
- Ticket and order records: 7 years, for tax and accounting
- Text-message consent and opt-out records: 7 years after the last message sent to that number
- Message delivery logs: 2 years
- Device and analytics logs: 13 months
- Support correspondence: 3 years
We keep consent and opt-out records even after account deletion, because we are legally required to be able to demonstrate that we had permission to contact you.
10. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls limiting employee access to what their role requires, multi-factor authentication on administrative systems, and regular review of our security practices. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any required authority as the law requires.
11. Age restrictions
The Services are intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. Many events listed on the Services are restricted to adults and may be held at venues that serve alcohol; age requirements are set by the Organizer and the venue. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us at support@turnuplive.com and we will delete it.
12. Where we operate
We are based in the United States and process and store personal information in the United States. The Services are directed to users in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you are transferring your information to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
13. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- keep you signed in and remember your preferences
- understand how you interact with the Services
- measure the effectiveness of our communications
- protect against fraud and unauthorized access
We use Firebase Analytics for usage tracking, which may set cookies or use device identifiers. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
14. Third-party links and embeds
The Services may contain links to venue websites, Organizer pages, and social media, and may embed music previews from Spotify or YouTube on event pages. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Services or by email before the changes take effect, and we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
